Mrs. Kristin Kavanaugh
To all students,Summer is a great time to work on your service hours. Please make sure to work at non-profit organizations such as schools, hospitals, churches.
Be sure to record your hours on the attached Christian Service Program Verification sheet. If you work at the same place week after week use the Verification of Hours Log.
To my Seniors-Class of 2011,
We have not been able to secure the Summer Reading book The Catholic Spirit from the publisher.
There will be upcoming information in the Fall.
I gave you all a Senior Summer Goal sheet in June. Make sure to record your progress and be ready to turn in the paper on the first day of class for your 20 points.
You should choose one area of your life that needs attention: spiritual, intellectual, physical, service, family, etc.
Choose a specific and attainable goal. For example: I will read the Bible every night for 10 minutes before I go to sleep or I will exercise for 30 minutes 4 times a week.
Each time you fulfill your goal you keep track of your activity on the Senior Summer Goal sheet. Post this paper where you can keep track of it like on a mirror or next to your bed.
Be persistent and stick to your goal. If you falter-don’t give up! Pick up and start again.
Class materials you will need in the Fall: a three ring binder, loose-leaf paper, pen, markers-thin or thick and 1 thin clear folder with pockets for papers to go back and forth between home and school.
I look forward to seeing you all in the Fall. Have a Blessed Summer and be ready with your “Senior Year” enthusiasm in August.
