Message from the Rector

Dear friends and guests of Mary Star of the Sea,

Welcome to Mary Star of the Sea High School.

We ask Mary, our heavenly patron, to guide and protect all our students, families, teachers, staff and coaches as we prepare ourselves for the challenges of this school year.

As Rector, one of my main duties is to see that the Catholic Christian Mission and Philosophy of our school is upheld. The school’s Mission statement reminds us “In the great tradition of Catholic education, Mary Star of the Sea High School challenges students to reach their full potential through a living faith in God.”

In order for the students to reach their full potential, the school must provide an environment where a deep and living faith in God can be recognized. This God-centered environment is not limited merely to our scheduled times for prayer and in religion classes, but is something that must permeate all aspects of school life.

It is my hope that all students reach this maximum potential by giving their best effort to develop the gifts God has bestowed upon them.
