Athletic Booster Club Message May 2010 During May, our spring sports teams are busy with league play and competing for a playoff position in their respective CIF divisions. We wish them luck and pray for the safety of all our athletes. Many thanks to all of our volunteers for their hard work on our successful Spring Sports Dinner as well as A Night of a Thousand Stars gala event. The boosters were working behind the scenes to ensure a most enjoyable evening. Thank you again to everyone that helped with auction logistics and security for the event. Our Senior Scholarships will be awarded to some well-deserving student athletes at the Academic Awards banquet. All of the applications were well written and are a testament to the high academic standards we have at the school. We are pleased to announce the kickoff for Mary Star High School’s 2010 Summer Golf Classic. Prior years’ golf tournaments were highly successful and well-attended events. This year we look forward in hosting an event to improve the athletic experience of our students at MSHS. It has been with the generous help of our tournament sponsors that Mary Star High School has been able to continue this worthwhile occasion. We are seeking sponsorship and door prize donations for the upcoming Summer Golf Tournament, to be held on Monday, August 30, 2010 at the Los Verdes Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. We are hoping that you will be a part of this exciting event by donating to this year’s annual golf tournament. All contributions are tax deductible. We would appreciate your reply by July 25, 2010. The club is looking for volunteers to run for an officer on the club’s board. Nominations and elections of club officers (President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer) will take place at a special general Athletic Booster Club meeting in June.
