For class today, read the History article on the Industrial Revolution that was distributed on Friday.  See the link below if you missed class.  A Chapter 9 quiz is highly likely today on the handouts and Ch 9 sections 1 & 2.

For today's class, please bring your notes for your research essay. We will be working on how to develop the thesis and intro paragraph from your knowledge about your topic.  Even if you don't have an approved topic yet, BRING YOUR NOTES that took from researching your topic of interest.

EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY!  Create a submission for the Mission Doctors Association Pope Francis Scholarship for submission by January 15, 2019.  You must bring in your project to Ms. Pichler before the end of the school day on Tuesday, January 15, 2019.  Details on the scholarship can be found on the attached file.

Honors Modern World History FINAL EXAM!  

Study day!  Bring materials to study for any upcoming final exams.  Students will work independently, so plan accordingly.

To prepare for today's class:

1. View the Renaissance art PowerPoint presentation.  Be able to identify two works that you feel best exemplify the Renaissance period and explain why.  

2.  Pre-read Chapter 1, sections 3 & 4

3.  Be prepared for a brief quiz on the Renaissance.

Please bring colored pencils to class today.  You may also bring "fun" colors of pens (colors other than black or blue ink).

Two maps - one blank to be completed and the other a "master" to help you identify territories and states - are attached. These are for Chapter 1.  Please complete, neatly, and create a color-coded legend to identify each territory/state.  Look carefully!  Some territories are separated into segments and should be colored the same color.  

Bring your outline/brainstorm to class on this topic:  Why is the PB&J America's most loved sandwich?
