Course Description
This course will introduce Art & Music History with a variety of visual art, techniques and media in text, online websites, individual visits to galleries, or museums. Students will be introduced to formal aesthetic criteria that will enable them to analyze the relationship of form to content in various artworks with discussing their subjective responses to visual art. The course is a survey art history course that covers art from different cultures, time periods, and historic contexts. It will provide students an opportunity to explore the field of art and music history through exploring the nature of art, art making, and responses to art.
