Admissions Procedures

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR INCOMING FRESHMEN

1. Please collect, complete, and submit in person or by mail the following documents to Mary Star of the Sea High School by January 11, 2019:
1.         Application Form 
2.        Baptismal Certificate (if Catholic)
3.        Immunization Record (must include proof of Tdap and TB test)
4.       $75 application processing fee (cash, check, credit card or PayPal)
 
2. Please complete and submit to your CURRENT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL:
1. Section 1 of the Confidential Common Evaluation Form
2. MSHS Release of School Records Request
 
NOTE: Incomplete applications will not be processed and may delay or jeopardize acceptance to Mary Star of the Sea High School.

INTERVIEW, DECISION, AND REGISTRATION

Every applicant will be given an appointment time and date for an interview with the admissions committee. The registrar’s office will notify all applicants by mail if they have been accepted to Mary Star of the Sea High School. If admitted to Mary Star of the Sea High School, students will be mailed a registration packet including the date and time of registration appointment. ________________________________________________________________________

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR TRANSFER STUDENTS


Please collect, complete, and submit in person or by mail the following documents to Mary Star of the Sea High School:
1.            Application Form
2.            Baptismal Certificate (if Catholic)
3.            Immunization Record (must include proof of Tdap and TB test)
4.            Transcript (most current grades)
5.            Discipline clearance letter from the last school
6.            $75 application processing fee (cash or check only)

NOTE: Incomplete applications will not be processed and may delay or jeopardize acceptance to Mary Star of the Sea High School.

INTERVIEW

It is our school policy to interview all applicants during the admissions process. The admissions office will contact each applicant with the interview date and time. The interview may take place over the phone for out of state or international students.

DECISION
Based on the application file and the interview, the principal will make the decision to admit or not to admit a particular applicant. The applicant's family will be contacted by phone or by mail about this decision.

REGISTRATION

If accepted, the applicant registers for classes by filling out a registration packet. Once this packet is received and $525 registration fee is paid, the new student can begin classes.

NOTE: Mary Star of the Sea High School is authorized under Federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students.
