MSHS Now Accepting Applications for 2012-2013

Mary Star of the Sea High School is now accepting Applications for incoming freshmen and transfer students for the 2012-2013 school year. All interested parents of both public and private school students are invited to attend the Information Evening on November 22nd from 6 to 9 p.m. in the auditorium.

Shadow a Student at Mary Star of the Sea High School

All students, seriously interested in enrolling at Mary Star of the Sea High School, are welcome to visit the campus and the classrooms. Visits may be a partial day or a whole day of school.

Career Day Speakers Needed

There is still a need for speakers to participate in the school's annual Career Day on Friday, February 3rd. Interested parents, alumni, and friends of Mary Star can download the Career Day Speaker Form and return it to MSHS by January 13 for inclusion as a speaker. This is a key opportunity for students to learn and formulate their own future career plans.

FAFSA Workshop for Senior Parents

On Monday, January 23, 2012, Sheila Millman, Financial Aid Director at Harbor College, will present a workshop at MSHS in ROOM 209 to help parents of seniors with the FAFSA application for college financial aid.

College Night for Parents

Please attend this special evening for parents with students in all grades, but especially in grades 9-11 on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 7 p.m. in the gym. Workshops will take place in classrooms providing valuable information on how to prepare your student for college.

Eighty Hours of Christian Service Required for all new and RETURNING students

Beginning with the 2011-2012 school year, the amount of hours necessary to complete the Christian Service requirement for graduation has increased to EIGHTY hours. This increase applies to all returning students - including seniors. The increase to 80 hours was a natural progression as the majority of students exceed the required amount of Christian Service hours each year.
