AP Research papers should include an abstract, which is a concise summary of the paper's key findings and methodology, and is typically 150-300 words. Here's a more detailed explanation:
The abstract provides readers with a quick overview of the research paper, allowing them to determine if the paper is relevant to their interests and to understand the main points of the research.
AP Research papers, especially those following a professional style, should include an abstract as a standard component.
A good abstract should include:
A brief overview of the research question or problem.
A description of the methods used in the research.
A summary of the key findings or results.
The implications or significance of the research.

Peer Review Assignment:
In general, the peer review process follows the following steps:
First, the author of the academic paper submits the manuscript to the peer.
Next, the peer review process occurs. The reviewer provides feedback, addressing any major or minor issues with the manuscript, and gives their advice regarding what edits should be made.
Lastly, the edited manuscript is sent back to the author. They input the edits, and resubmit it to the editor for publication.
Create a google document (Name, RQ, Thesis, Major Revisions, Helpful tips) and then submit. PUT your name and your peers name.

Discussion:
Your discussion is, in short, the answer to the question “what do my results mean?” The discussion section of the manuscript should come after the methods and results section. You explain the significance of those results and tie everything back to the research question. A good discussion section includes analysis of any unexpected findings/gaps in research. This paragraph should begin with a description of the unexpected finding, followed by a brief interpretation as to why you believe it appeared and, if necessary, its possible significance in relation to the overall study.

Main Points:
1) Restate your research question
2) Discuss 3 important topics from your research findings
3) Discuss new insight into your results
4) Discuss any limitations or gaps
5) Why are the results valid
6) Discuss your recommendations for further future research

A is where you report the main findings of the data collection and analysis you conducted for your thesis or dissertation. You should report all relevant results concisely and objectively, in a logical order. Don’t include subjective interpretations of why you found these results or what they mean—any evaluation should be saved for the discussion section.
Your results should always be written in the past tense.
While the length of this section depends on how much data you collected and analyzed, it should be written as concisely as possible.
Only include results that are directly relevant to answering your research questions. Avoid speculative or interpretative words like “appears” or “implies.”
If you have other results you’d like to include, consider adding them to an appendix or footnotes.
Always start out with your broadest results first, and then flow into your more granular (but still relevant) ones. Think of it like a shoe store: first discuss the shoes as a whole, then the sneakers, boots, sandals, etc.

The body of your paper should be approximately 700-1000 words in length. The body of a research paper is the section that supports the thesis and is the largest part of a research paper; in it you collect and arrange evidence that will persuade the reader of your argument. It should, therefore, have a logical organization and should explain your Line of reasoning and finding gaps to produce a new understanding. It should also lead the reader into your Methods section. SUBMISSIONS WILL BE DUE ON 11/8

An introduction is the initial part of a research paper and the part that a reader is likely to read first (at least when focusing deeply and reading it in detail). Hence, definitions, notions, and other information required for understanding the paper are presented/listed here.
Every paper needs context so that readers can understand why you have created it. This is exactly what you can do in your research paper introduction. Of course, this can mean that your introduction is the hardest part of an essay to write first. So, it is essential that you take your time and make sure you get it right.
The introduction of writing is going to set out your rationale, which is what research will be based around. Your readers should be able to tell what they are reading right from the beginning and whether it interests them.
It is essential that you make the beginning of your research paper interesting (HOOK/BACKGROUND) and engage with your readers from the first line. This will make sure that people continue to read and learn about what you have found out. You should also state a hypothesis and the way you think your work will turn out in conclusion.
A problem statement is a critical component of the research project, as it provides a clear and concise roadmap for the research, and helps to ensure that the research is well-designed and addresses a significant and relevant issue. (focus + clarity)

What is your Research Question?
What is your Problem Statement?
What is your Background Information? Does it have cited information?
What are your lenses for the body of your paper?
Also, you can ADD Credibility to your author by stating what he/she does for a living or previous history in research.
