Email: [email protected] In this class, the student will the learn skills necessary for improved vocabulary, reading comprehension and writing ability. The student will be expected to critically analyze various works of literature by forming accurate, thoughtful and structurally correct essays. Additionally, the student will be tested on basic literary concepts such as plot, theme, tone and setting. This course meets the California State Standards for 9th grade English.

3. List any symbols that you come across
4. List any examples of rising action you come across.
5. Write down any quotes that you find which relate to the theme of the novel.
